HOW TO PLAY
- Be the first player to score 400 points.
- Place all Tri-Ominos face down and mix them up.
- Playing with two players? Each player will take 9 Tri-Omino tiles and place them in their tray or “hand”.
- Playing with 3 or 4 players? Each player will take 7 Tri-Omino tiles each.
Make sure not to let your opponents see your tiles.
- Designate who will be the scorekeeper and have them write each player’s name down on piece of paper with enough room to add and subtract points throughout the game rounds.
- The player with the highest number Tri-Omino starts the round by placing it face up on the table. If they can play a Tri-Omino with three of the same number they will earn 10 bonus points.
- Points are calculated by the total of the three numbers on the Tri-Omino played.
- Going clockwise, the next player will attempt to match any two numbers to the Tri-Omino(s) already played.
- If you do not have a Tri-Omino that can be played you must pull from the “well” until you can locate one to play. Each pull is -5 points.
- The scorekeeper will add these up plus the sum of the numbers from the Tri-Omino played to total your score for that turn.
- A round ends when someone runs out of Tri-Omino tiles or no more tiles can be played.
- The game is won by whoever scores 400 points first.
Bonus Points
- The starting player can earn 10 points if able to play a Tri-Omino with three of the same number.
- If three 0’s start there is a 30 point bonus, along with normal 10 points.
- If a player is able to match all three numbers and form a closed hexagon, the three numbers from the Tri-Omino are added plus 50 points.
- Forming a bridge will earn 40 points plus the three numbers added together from the Tri-Omino used.
- If after a bridge is formed and a player is able to match two sides of a Tri-Omino and add to the bridge, they will receive the sum of the three numbers on the Tri-Omino plus 40 points.
